    Installing Umbraco Package Issue

    Hello Guys

     

    I am new to Umbraco and i am trying to figure out what i am doing wrong.

    When i install any of the available packages the installtion goes smooth and it tells me that the package has installed but for some reason none fo the xslt files scripts css etc are copied over. I have to copy everything manually to make it to work.

     

    What am i doing wrong? Is there any further info which i can provide?

    Hi Mshin and welcome to our :)

    I'm guessing that your issues most likely have to do with permissions. Have you given network service and iusr the proper permissions on the umbraco root folder? And what packages is it that you're trying to install?

    Perhaps you can get some hints by looking at Sebastiaan Janssens article on installing Umbraco manually: http://cultiv.nl/blog/2011/7/18/how-to-install-umbraco-manually/

    Thanks Jan for the quick response.

     

    Let me check the permissions i am sure they are in place but let me recheck those and the link you sent and get back to you with my findings.
