I've installed Umbraco 4.7.1.1 a couple of times to a local path. In each case, I can't get some of the features of the admin console to work unless I edit the paths in dashboard.config to /umbraco/umbraco (adding the extra level). Everything seems to work fine at that point until I try to install a starter kit. Then the pages don't render correctly, but the new files seem to be installed. If I move some of them up (like xslt files) to the same folder one level up the folder hierarchy, some things start to work.

Clearly I've made some error in the initial installation, but I've done it a couple of times and can't find where I have made any choices that would seem to have the effect of moving the paths around. What am I missing?
