are there some requirements for when a hosting company can advertise that they do Umbraco hosting / use the Umbraco logo?
The reason I'm asking is that I've tried the Norwegian host Active24, which advertise that they support Umbraco. But after spending several days trying to get Umbraco to run with them I found out that they run Medium Trust.
Yes, Umbraco CAN run under medium trust. But it is really not recommended, as it requires a lot of tweaking plus a ton of modules have trouble running in medium trust.
So I was thinking: Can they really use the Umbraco logo and advertise that they offer Umbraco hosting without meeting some minimum requirements?
Stay away from Active24 after 6 days I still havent got a basic Umbraco up and running. The support team are only busy blaming me for not wanting to move the domain to them and that is whats causing the problem. I mean who wants to move the domain before you know things are workign properly?
