    SSL and hostnames

    Hey :)

I am running umbraco 4.0.3 in multisite mode and one of the domains needs to use a SSL constantly.

I have had the SSL installed on the server, although it doesn't seem to be working https gives server not found - Do I have to add https to the bindings, I was told I didn't need to, but it seems logical to me.

Is there anything else I need to do to umbraco to make sure that all links under this node use https?

Sounds like you will need to add a https binding in IIS

Thanks Paul.... I just did that, and it works :)

I really hate that host.... my question to them:

"Do I need to add the https to the bindings in order to use the SSL in a url or is this already taken care of else where?"

    Their answer:

"The SSL certificate is for the specific domain *.domain.com the bindings have already been setup."

    Obviously not!!!

Thanks for the help Paul :)
