Everything works fine until I get to the last step and browse to the Umbraco site in step 5.
I then get a ....wwwroot\Umbraco\Views\Partials access denied error.
I have a Views folder, but there is no Partials subfolder (it's not in the zip I downloaded either).
I've installed .net 4 and mvc 3.
Really hope one of you guys can help me, I can't make sense of this error and Google offers no help....
Thanks
Mike
PS.
I'm trying a manual installation because when try it using the Web Platform Installer, the database drop down tells me I don't have SQL Server installed, however, it is installed.
Installing 4.11.0 Views\Partials access denied error
Hi.
I'm new to Umbraco and am trying to install 4.11.0 manually on Windows Server 2008 R2 with a SQL Server 2008 database.
I'm following the instructions here:

Everything works fine until I get to the last step and browse to the Umbraco site in step 5.

You try creating the missing folder(s)?
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Looks like I was following old or just plain wrong instructions. When I used these it worked ok:

Thanks
