I am attempting to upgrade from 4.7 to 4.8.1 and I get the following error when i hit the site
The input is not a valid Base-64 string as it contains a non-base 64 character, more than two padding characters, or an illegal character among the padding characters.
I am trying to upgrade 4.7.1 to 4.9.1, I am doing it incrementally. I had the same problem upgrading from 4.8.0 to 4.8.1. I cleared the cookies and it worked. I then had it freezes on the database page at 35%;
Installing Umbraco
The Umbraco database is being configured. This process populates your chosen database with a blank Umbraco instance.
According to all that I read, going from 4.8.0 to 4.8.1 does not involve any database upgrade.
Also I hate seeing this message when I am upgrading, It should say Upgrading , not populating your database with a blank Umbraco Instance.
