    Umbraco installation under the root of other installation

    Installing umbraco

     

    I am getting the error while I was trying to install Umbraco 4.9.0 inside the virtual directory under the root of 4.7.1.1 installation.

    Line 11:     <section name="clientDependency" type="ClientDependency.Core.Config.ClientDependencySection, ClientDependency.Core" requirePermission="false"/>

    Can anyone suggest which is the correct way to make hierarchy iof installations, so I can have multiple website running on different installation under the same domain.

    4.7.1.1 inside 4.7.1.1 is working fine.

    I need to know as early as possible. Please, reply.

    Sundip - I don't think you can do this and I don't really understand why you would want to.

    If you want to run multiple instances on the same server then use hostheaders in IIS and install them as seperate websites.
