    Cost of asp.net version

    Hi all

I'm sorry to be the most ignorant person on here, but I'm looking to find a CMS solution for one of the websites I work on. I've decided that Umbraco seems the best for what I need it to do. However, I'm getting conflicting advice about the cost. Some places say Umbraco is free others have various prices...

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

    Thanks very much

It's free, unless you want the extra tools or want to rebrand it.

Using Umbraco is free for commercial purposes.

You can optionally purchase Umbraco Pro (http://umbraco.org/products). The Pro version includes Courier and Consierge. There is also a varying level of support (depending on your Pro Version). Courier is a great package for syncing content.

You can purchase access to http://Umbraco.tv. This site consists of great tutorial videos to get you up and running quickly. A sound investment for a anyone learning.

You cannot rebrand Umbraco (remove the logos, etc) or resell the product as your own work.

Full licence details are available http://umbraco.org/about/license

Thanks very much to you both - I was fairly sure it was free but I was getting conflicting information.

    Cheers

Umbraco is totally free, as the others have stated.

However the hosting costs is usually a bit more expensive, compared to fx. hosting of a Wordpress blog.

Umbraco requires a bit more of your hosting solution, fx. access to an SQL database (in most cases) and IIS running in high (?) trust. Which usually adds some costs to hosting.

But the CMS itself is 100% free to use.

    Best regards,
    Soeren S.
