    Admin page using /umbraco

Ive installed Umbraco version 4.11.3 (Assembly version: 1.0.4760.34993).

When i create a new project in Web Matrix i select Empty Site. I then click Run which  shows the site in a web browser.

Assuming the web address is http://localhost:1234/ the site displays accordingly.

If i type http://localhost:1234/umbraco to get into edit mode in the browser i get an error that the page is not found. What have i done wrong in order to edit the site under a browser?

    Thanks

    Hi J

Can you access Umbraco by going to this path http://localhost:1234/umbraco/umbraco.aspx

    Hi J

Ok...I think you should try and start over and follow this guide from the documentation http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/install-umbraco-with-microsoft-webmatrix

Can't figure out what is going on from what you describe above - but something clearly is not right :)

Hope this helps - Otherwise let us know.

    /Jan

Using that link - It works!!

My question now is when i created the first site i went through the steps described in that link for testing purpose. I then started over again and added another "Empty Site" when i got the problem as described above. Does this mean an empty site does not function as an Umbraco CMS template?

    Thanks
