    Upgrade error moving from 4.10.1 to 6.0

    The database configuration failed with the following message: Invalid column name 'masterContentType'. Invalid column name 'masterContentType'. Invalid column name 'masterContentType'. Please check log file for addtional information (can be found in '/App_Data/Logs/UmbracoTraceLog.txt')

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I just followed the standard steps:

    • Copy folders across
    • Visit landing
    • Step through install path

    . I have the following plugins installed:

    • Universal Media Picker
    • Config Tree
    • Robots.txt Editor
    • FamFamFam
    • log4Umbraco
    • Contour
    • Newsletter Studio
    • uTube
    • Digibiz
    • uBlogsy
    • uForum
    • Examine index admin
    • Desktop media uploader
    • uMobile

    Hi Michael

    You should also make sure to run winmerge on the files in the /config folder - many changes have been made in here.

    Also make sure to look for changes in the web.config - in codeplex there is a word document describing what has changed when you choose 4.10 I think.

    Try merging the files and see if that helps.

    Remember to finnish of by incrementing the version number in the clientdependency.config file.

    Also keep in mind that some of the above packages may currently or no longer be supported by v6.

    The first upgrade incomplete...

    Upgrade again this will happen


    Restore the database, re-upgrade
