Usage of new or old ContentType in v6.0

    Hi

I have upgrade my site to 6.0 and also maually upgrade the DB schema from a clean 6.0 installation. This gives me problems because apparantly the field MasterContentType on cmsContentType is being referenced and this field is used in version prior to 6.0.

Version 6.0 does not use this field so my question is: what determines whether the old or the new implementation og ContentType is being used
