I've been working on a site for a couple months now. The final deployment is coming up.
The IT guys want to use SQL2012, that doesn't appear to be an option with 4.9.1. I've installed SQL2012 on my local machine and the site seems to run fine, but I can't do things like create Macros and other simple Backoffice stuff.
So my next step was to try to upgrade the site to Umbraco 6, straight from 4.9.1 to 6 doesn't work, so I tried 4.9.1 to 4.11 first.
That seemed to work, but razor scripts got dodgy and my examine dashboard and Contour tabs disappeared in the developers section.
I have a lot of custom XSLT and Razor scripts in this site. My options are to continue whacking away at this upgrade issue, and test each and every script and XSLT file, having to rewrite some of them, etc... or tell the IT guys no way.
Should I abandon all this as hopeless, or can this be done? (Upgrading from 4.9.1 to 6 and using SQL2012)
