Cannot find my old index files in wwwroot

    Hey guys,

So I figured I would move from apache to IIS 7.

I have done that successfully awhile ago, but now I am in need of URGENT help.

I have used the platform installer to install umbraco on IIS7. The problem is, my old home page and other old home page related files are no where to be found. I need those as I am not the only one using my server for webhosting.

Could someone tell me where the installation moved my previous home page?

Thank you so much in advanced!

Hi Mitchell and welcome to our :)

Is your old site still running? I suppose the files exists in another folder on the disk where apache reads it from? (I'm not very familiar with Apache so forgive my ignorance if I'm totally off here).

But the installer does not remove or delete any files from your machine. Perhaps it's best to try and install agent ransack and search for the files on your disk?

    /Jan

    Let me explain more,

    Under C:\inetpub\wwwroot is:

    Wordpress\

    Files\

    Downloads\

    VB.net\

Apache is not being used, in fact forget about apache because that is not the problem

After the install of umbraco, all my personally placed files (Like wordpress was) are gone. just gone.

    Any thoughts?
