i want to ask can i create Strater Kits for umbraco. i have to create my final task for ticket passing the exam. my lecturer want me to use umbraco as the backgroud of my site(means use its login page, user DB etc) but create my own page. but it make me confuse until now. is there anyone know something about my problem?
So what is it exactly youre trying to build? Is it a website with some 3rd party integration where you just need to have a demo website based on a simple design up and running?
If so you can check out ubootstrap as Dawoe mentions above or you can have a look at the Standard Website package - http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/standard-website - But be aware that this is based on MVC and requires at least Umbraco 4.10.

I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.
A starter kit is just a package for Umbraco that bundles some functionality so that you have a basic site like uBootstrap for example
