    How to remove "/umbraco/" from umbraco url?

    hi all,

    To open umbraco, we write something like "http://localhost:81/umbraco/".but if i want to make that url like "http://localhost:81/adminUmbraco/".what should i do for this change?is it possible?

    Hi Nikunj and welcome to our :)

    What is your reason for wanting to change this? I'll advice you to think carefully about it. It can be done but doing so can mean a lot of trouble. Chriztian Steinmeier did this when we created the 24days.in/umbraco xmas calendar since we for obvious reasons had to do it in order to be able to create this url.

    However he writes a bit about the things you should be aware of when changing the default path here http://24days.in/umbraco/2012/wrapping-up/

    Thanks to our best umbraco community.

    It was nice artical.i want to know how it is possible because to avoid manual check in url from external person so that they can't redirect on login page.
