    Upgrade to 6.0.5 from 6.0.0

    Installing umbraco

    Hi,

    Can someone please guide me on how to upgrade Umbraco 6.0.0 to 6.0.5?

    Our current site is on Umbraco 6.0.0. Is it seperate installation or just replacing the old dll's?

    Is there special precautions to be taken to avoid data corruption?

    Hi Rangana

    You should simply follow the general guidelines, which you find here http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/Upgrading/general

    Remember to do a backup of both database and files before you start upgrading though.

    Thanks for the response. I did the upgrade.

    But anyone who is doing the upgrade should change the default rendering engine to 'Mvc', if you are using razor views. Otherwise you won't see your 

    previous razor templates.

    This is in umbracosettings.config and umbracosettings.release.config.
