    Hi there

Sounds a bit weird that it just installed on CE SQL? There is a step where you need to choose the database you want to use. Must admit it's been a while since I've done a clean installation so can't remember if CE SQL is pre-selected but I don't think so.

I think I would try to do one of these.

1: Run the installation again and see if I can change the DB that Umbraco where you want Umbraco to be installed.

2: You can actually use webmatrix to migrate the database from CE SQL to MSSQL. Just go to the "Databases" tab in the lower left corner in webmatrix. Then there should be an option called "Migrate" in the top panel.

When you choose to migrate make sure that you stop the site - otherwise migration can fail because the process is being used by IIS express. All you need to do is to tell the tool about the database server, db name and the username and login for the database and then it should be a bliss.

I hope the above suggestions help - otherwise please ask further questions.

Perhaps you can also find some usefull inspiration in the documentation here http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/

    Cheers,
    Jan

    Thank you for your reply.

I've tried to install manual. I have unblocked the files and stored locally. Then I right click the folder and want to select WebMatrix to open in. But I can't get it to work.

I installed visusl studio pro 2012 and webmatrix3 - should it not be good enough or did I miss something?

Also get an error in WebMatrix that says:

Here's what we could not install:

    - We could not install Umbraco CMS

    downloaded

    - ASP.NET MVC3 tools update installer

This product did not install successfully

    - ASP.NET MVC3 (visual studio 2010)

This product can not be installed because a product it depends on did not install successfully.

    Any suggestions is welcome, Christina

    Yheaaaa

Suddenly I got it to work - could right-click and open in WebMatrix;-))

but when I press run I get the error

      HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden

The Web Server is Configured two not list the contents of this directory.

    What is now the problem???

    Hi Christina

Ok, still using webmatrix? Then make sure you open up the folder containing Umbraco. If you by accident open a folder above you will see this error for instance.

    Hope this makes sense?
