Today I decided to install Umbraco to give it a go having not used it for 2 years.
I installed it via WPI and set it to create a new website. I gave it the path to my Web Projects directory where all of my web projects lve and set the site directory to be Umbraco Test.
This completed fine. I have had untold amount of hassle trying to get it up and working but I finally managed to get it working albeit it without any CSS despite adding a template.
The problem is, and this is huge, I have just noticed that the installation deleted EVERYTHING in my web projects directory. All of my work is gone, some of which is not backed up.
Do any of you know about this? Is there a way to get it back?
Yeh I just did an undelete but all the files have been over written and are therefore damaged. I have just lost 4 months of work :((Yes I realised I should have backed up)
Dont suppose anyone knows of a tool that can resolve this?
Installing Umbracvo deleted everything?!?
