Hey Salman, This is possible, however it would need to be on a per user basis. If you check out the "User permissions" part of the tree for the "User" section. This allows you to specify permissions for a user on a per node or per root (by checking replace child permissions).
While their role wouldn't change, their permissions would change. I think this is what you're looking for. I'm not aware of this being available for roles though, it's definitely per user.
There may be some event handling you could do if you created a specific role for this, but this kind of thing is probably best initially using the UI.
Writer for some nodes, editor for others
