Editing Content "On the Go" (WYSIWYG)

    Hello Folks,

I might be mistaken but remember a feature in umbraco where users (mostly editors) could View a page and Edit the field "on the go" whithout having to switch back to the umbraco admin UI. This would be useful for users that have no clue about umbraco, and even for developers, since we can view the content and design, and see how it looks like as content is added/edited.

I was looking for something like the spaneditor concept (http://www.snapeditor.com/). Are there any plans to incorporate something like that?

    Best wishes, Carlos Casalicchio

This is called canvas mode (previously called "live editing") editing, it was originally enabled with earlier versions, but it has since been disabled, you can re-enable it by setting the config file to "true" in /Config/umbracoSettings.config

However, few datatypes or community packages support it.

    <EnableCanvasEditing>false</EnableCanvasEditing>
