Just trying to install 4.11.9 and I still get this error
And since this page says that you need to be running 4.11.9 to be safe from security issues, and 4.11.9 gives me the error above, I can conclude that running mysql I have to accept security issues ?
Just tried 4.11.10 again and it crashed again at 35%. Then by coincidence I restarted the same installation, and it jumped right to the "Create User" step and I could finish the installation with out any trouble.
I have no idea if the installation is complete or what, but I can login and I can work in the Umbraco backoffice.
I usually just upload the extracted files (extracted on the Mac) and there's smoooooooth sailing.
Did you by any chance forget to "Unblock" the ZIP file before unzipping (on the Win machine)? I have no idea if that's the cause - just a shot in the dark as Ozzy would say :-)
Haven't been able to figure out what changed and when. So from your reports, it crashes with 4.11.9 and 4.11.10. Have you been able to install a 4.11.x version, and if so, which one? That would help us figure out when things started to go wrong.
4.11.10 + mysql + unoeuro = fail ?
When I try to install 4.11.10 on Unoeuro and MySql i get this error
I thought it was only version 6 that had mysql issues ?

4.11.0
Ok, this gotta be the puzzle of the year.

Ok, I'm still in the woods on this ...
How the heck is that possible ?
When I created the Base documenttype I got kicked from the backoffice.
Now, when I try to create a new documenttype it already exists.
Here is how I install Umbraco on Unoeuro.
Hi Sebastian,
This is SO weird!

I've tried uploading from the Mac as well.
Some times I have issues with deleting App_Data and Views through Transmit, but then recycling the app pool releases the folders.
I'd say restarting after the install crashed at 35% might very well leave Umbraco in some sort of undetected state. Better try to find what's the issue, which might be related to a casing issue with MySql and UnoEuro wanting every query being uppercased (see http://our.umbraco.org/forum/getting-started/installing-umbraco/38002-Installing-Umbraco-6-on-UnoEuro-web-hotel).

Hi Stephan
I've tried the following versions: 4.8, 4.9. 4.10, 4.11. 4.11.9 and 4.11.10
When I got to 4.8 I gave up :) But I don't think the problem is on the umbraco side.
Chriztian tried as well and had the same problem, so we decided to go with SQL CE for the time being.
Oh. So it's not something that was recently broken then. It's more of a general issue with UnoEuro requirements.
I think yes.
Maybe they've been trying to fix the MySql issues for V6 and this bug is because of that.
I'm guessing here, nothing certain :)
is working on a reply...
