I've just inherited an Umbraco v
4.0.2.1 site. It all works fine except that the admin area is very slow. eg. After clicking a content page to edit, it takes about 10 seconds for the editing page to load. But it seems that every operation in the admin area takes a long time to load.
The front end seems ok in terms of speed.
It appears that the site is using VistaDB which I haven't used before. In web.config: <add key="umbracoDbDSN" value="datalayer="VistaDB,VistaDB For Umbraco"" />
Could VistaDB be causing the speed issues in admin area?
Another issue is that the previous developer disappeared without leaving the high level admin login details. So I have no admin access to Developer, Settings etc. I do have FTP access though. Is there a way I can edit the VistaDB database to create an account with full admin access?
