Fresh install of Umbraco 6.1.6 fails with Spindoctor and Contour

    Hi,

I'm trying to install both Spindoctor and Contour in an Umbraco 6.1.6. Spindoctor was installed and worked by it self, but the automatic installation of Contour keeps failing.

Instead I've tried the manuel installation (http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-pro/contour/documentation/Installation/Manual), which has resulted in following error:

I've tried updating Newtonsoft.Json.dll both to a newer- and the original version. But at the moment I can't acces anything in the backend, and is confused about my next move.

    Anything is appriciated!

    /Rasmus

    Hi Rasmus

Is this the same installation as the one you mention in this post? http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-pro/contour/49585-Cant-install-Contour-on-windows-2008-server

    Hi Jan,

No it's actually not. I've tried different setups and so on. My clients original 4.7.2 Umbraco is running with both Spindoctor and Contour.  I've moved to a newer server, as the client couldn't install MVC to get Contour running in a 6.1.6 version of Umbraco.

Atm I have 2 different installations, each installed with either Contour or Spindoctor — but becuase of the different versions of Newtonsof.Json.dll, it seems impossible to get both installed?

    Have anyone occured this before?

    /Rasmus

You may be missing binding redirects, see here for more info:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22685530/could-not-load-file-or-assembly-newtonsoft-json-or-one-of-its-dependencies-ma

I have an additional question; I've updated the Newtonsoft.Json DLL, and I want to know which part of contour this is used in so I can focus my testing there.

    Cheers.
    Murray.
