    Why do the media images go 404 when publishing and copying a website?

    I developed a site on my local host in visual studio, published it, and copied the filed to a testing server.  All the images in the media section are gone....why does this happen?  Everythine else - pages, doc types, etc are all there.  The media folders and file names are there, but the images are 404.

    Hi Christine

    Is the media folder copied from your local machine to your staging server? You need to copy over the images as well since the image nodes are mapped to the image files from the media archive.

    Thanks - yes that did!  Those files were simply missing.
