    Can't Create Anything - New Install (4.0.2.1) on IIS7 / SQL2008

I have fresh install on a remote host  using the 3.5 WebConfig. Installation was a breeze! However, I can't start creating content. There are no Nodes under the SETTINGS Section? When I Right Click on anything a Blank Box Appears.

I would first be checking Network Service has full rights to the appropaite Umbraco directories.

I just heard back from my Hosting Provider:

" For security reasons, we do not use the network service account.
All customers are assigned a private application pool and the asp.net user/worker process has both read and write permissions by default.
Please let us know if you have any further questions."

Any other suggestions? [Thank You in Advance]

I Just ran this check and my Permissions are "Perfect" I am using DiscountASP.Net an I'm afraid I will have to cancel my Service Plan. I have restored my Local Database (Several Times) and copied (FTP) all of my files to the server.

When I log-in to my site from the /Umbraco/Umbraco.aspx page I get in just fine. However, still no directories or settings.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Hosting Provider for Umbraco?

    Cheers, Troy

I use softsyshosting.com and quite a few other community members do as well.  Umbraco works perfectly and their support is awesome.

You can go there directly or you could use my affliate code! :)

Thanks for the Link Matthew. I will use your affiliate code :) ... I was just on their site and wondering if the $42 Year Plan with no additions will work?

Yes Umbraco will work fine on that plan.  As long as it has enough bandwidth and diskspace for you.
