    Could not install packages

    Installing umbraco

    I get errors if i try to install packages from repository:

    firefox: 'invalid search'
    IE: 'invalid protocol'

    dev environment with VS 2013
    Umbraco 7.1.6

    Hi Alex,

    i run the project from VS so i think all rights are correct.

    when i install a local package it works fine.

    I too am having this problem.

    Installed from VS 2013 Nuget, Web Matrix, and Manual install.  Installed Umbraco 7.1.7, set up sql server and IIS, added modify rights on root site folder for IIS_IUSRS.  When trying to install package such as ImageGen. I get a dialog box, "Message from Web Page, Invalid Protocol"

    Downloading and installing via "Instal local package" worked fine.
