Hi - I have created a clean web-site using VS2013.
I install the UmbracoCms nuget package for version 7.1.6
When I launch the solution I go through the motions of configuring an empty umbraco and setting a standard user.
However, when I want to login again, the user created during installation is not allowed in. I have reproduced this problem on both SQL CE and SQL Express.
I've just tried a fresh install of v7.1.6 and I was able to log in with the email address and password entered in the install process. You should be logging in with the email address entered, not login name. Also, I'd inspect the database to make sure you have the login correct.
Hi Dan - you're right. It works with the email and the password. :-)
I have set up umbraco instances before, and it seems to me that I have always been using the login name to login. Has something changed or is it my memory who is already failing?

I think the installation process changed around 7.1.3 so that the email address is used as the login too.
Thanks, Dan.
Hi Dan - thanks again. :)
I accidentally clicked on the wrong answer so I could not grant you points. Sorry.
