Umbraco 6.2.4 - Richtext Editor Problem

    Hi,

I have to get to grips with Umbraco 6.2.4 (I know 7 is available) from scratch, and fairly quickly. I've installed it, and it's working on a local LAN Win 7 server, running on full IIS 8.

However - if I go to edit content, the Body Text box is greyed out. If I go into the document type and change it to Simple Test, it then works and I can edit the raw HTML.

It looks like TinyMCE isn;t working for some reason - but that's where I'm stuck.

Does anyone have anything that'll help this newbie?

    Cheers

Hi ECL and welcome to our :)

What browser are you using when browsing the Umbraco backoffice? And could you post a screendump of what it looks like?

I'm accessing it on a Mac and after some more googling last night, I saw that there can be issue with Chrome and Safari.

I tried it on Firefox this morning and the richtext was working OK.

Oddly, it now works in Safari and Chrome as well so I don't know if it was cacheing or whether that's made it 'kick in' somehow.

    Hi ECL

Yeah could have been some caching but glad to hear you managed to get it working (somehow ;-)).

    Happy Umbracoing.
