    Stop showing update alert

    Happy New Year to all... Hope everybody had a gr8 new year eve.

    In my admin side of my website, i can see some alert showing update to next version. i don't want to show that?

    How is it possible? Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Sajith,

    Open your web.config file. Search for umbracoVersionCheckPeriod set the value to 0.

    Just anxious to know the number showing(currently its showing 7 for me) is number of days?

    Yes indeed, but when you restart your website or reboot your machine it will also show the message again when you login to Umbraco

    It's *highly* recommended not to turn it of as it's the way we're able to announce new versions and also notify you if there's any security updates needed. The info is only shown for administrators and only in the interval that you specify. It's cookie based, so if you clear your cookies when your browser shuts down you'll see it every time you login, but normally only in the specified interval.
