    vistadb placeholder missing in latest release?

    Installing umbraco

    Is it just me or is the vistadb placeholder missing in the latest umbraco release? This gave an unexpected error during installment.

    After copying the vistadb folder and placeholder from an older release, everything worked again.

    If it is missing, all you have to do is create an empty folder, /data/vistadb and the installation will complete normally. This empty folder is only needed when choosing the vistadb option during installation... the other database choices don't need it.

    There has been talk on Twitter of VistaDB support being removed from the core installation, so might be work following @umbraco on Twitter if you are not already to ensure you get the latest news on this.
