How do you install Umbraco without a starter kit using NuGet or WebMatrix? If that is not possible, is there a way to remove the elements of the starter kit?
When you see the installation screen of Umbraco, you can click the Customize button, when you have filled out your name, email address and selected a password.
Then you have to choose which database, you want to use, when this is done, then you have the option to install a starter kit or choose not to install any starter kits at all.

Hi Jim and welcome to our,
When you see the installation screen of Umbraco, you can click the Customize button, when you have filled out your name, email address and selected a password.
Then you have to choose which database, you want to use, when this is done, then you have the option to install a starter kit or choose not to install any starter kits at all.
Hope this helps,
