Are you referring to the installation path to setup Umbraco. Or do
you have a page in your website that is named 'install'? If we are
talking about the last situation, then you are conflicting with the
installation folder. You can solve this by renaming your installation
folder and removing 'install' from the umbracoReservedPaths attribute
in your web.config.
Getting a 404 error when browsing to my Umbraco install on localhost - can't find 'install/default.aspx'
But the path install/default.aspx exists, I just keep getting routed to a 404 error, even if I try to browse to the exact path. Any ideas?
is umbraco your top level site, or is it in a subfolder?
Thanks Rik - it needs to be in the root ..
