I don't have much expirience when it comes to servers, so i was hoping if someone can help me with this issue.
We have a Intranet project, and we are going to run it on Umbraco for approximately 1300 users. It will be fairly large (umbraco.confing not exceeding 10mb), but we are not expecting high load all of the time. It will run on windows server 2008, and sql server 2008 express.
I need someone to confirm this configuration can serve this web site:
This is more than enough for me, we're running several sites (with average traffic) on a machine that has worse specs than this (depending on the processor, but I assume something in the 2.x gigahertz range, right?).
Those specs will be more than adequate. Of course, you can build a slow, memory-hogging website with any technology and umbraco is no exception... though you'd have to work hard at it to make umbraco a poor performer :)
