Umbraco site fails to load default.aspx after deployment to shared host.

Everything works wonderfully on our local development installation.  We deployed the database, deployed the files, and updated the config file, but the site doesn't come up.  It doesn't error out either, it just spins for a couple minutes, and then shows a completely empty screen.  Html source is blank as well when viewed.  Our favicon shows up, and we can also navigate to .txt files in our directory structure.

We are using 4.0.3 developed locally we used the 3.5 config file.  But deployed we changed it to the 2.0 config file.  We have set the umbracoConfigurationStatus value to 4.0.3.  We are attempting to deploy to shared hosting at SoftSysHosting.

Is this a usual issue?  And what normally causes it?  It's especially frustrating considering we have restored umbraco (without running the installer) about a half dozen times on local hardware without any issues at all.

    Thanks for your time,

To update, we have stopped the spinning.

Now our templates are coming up without data.  We also cannot log in even though the user is present in the database.  I am not sure what the error could be.

We had an issue when setting a host value, then clearing it that the default.aspx wouldn't display.  The solution was to explicitly set the host name in the Right-click "Manage Hostnames" menu item.

Not sure if this is the same problem, but it may be worth a try.
