Install umbraco on Windows 7 - localhost IIS7.5 (WPI)

    Hello

Ive Installed umbraco trough the microsoft.com/web Web Platform Installer. The Installation ran OK with no problems.

Ive installed in a new website, outside the Default website. The problem: http://localhost/install/default.aspx?redir=true&url=/umbraco3

    The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /install/default.aspx

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    Here's a how my IIS7 looks: http://twitpic.com/1a6v4f

    What seems the problem?

    Thanks

    Hi Frederico,

umbraco must be installed in the root of the website, it seems from your screenshot you don't have it installed at the root.

If you use the web platform installer, make sure to leave application name field blank as per this install wiki!

    Cheers,

    /Dirk
