Its generally considered Umbraco is able to deal with up to 1 million nodes, (rather depends what is inside those nodes!) and after that point I guess you really have to consider the solution you are building, and is Umbraco a suitable tool to manage over 1 million nodes?
There's a couple of other threads happening at the same time regarding Umbraco sizes so might be worth having a look at those,
Umbraco site size limits ?
A client have asked me if there are any theoretical or practical limits to the number of pages (nodes) in an Umbraco site.
To be a little more specific, can a serious server handle a single umbraco site with 50000 pages or even100000 ?
I know that usage patterns ad stuff like that are important factors, but right now i'm mostly concerned with just the number of nodes.
The database will be on a dedicated server.
My first concern is about the size of the cached XML file.
What else should i consider ?
Thanks
Mikael
