    Already installed Umbraco hosting?

    Hello,

I hope this topic fits well here since I haven't seen any better place to put it.

I was wondering if there's any hosting provider where I can open an account with Umbraco already installed in it. Something like "pay & run", already set to start with Umbraco installed and configured properly. I don't know if this exists, but it would be a great thing for some people.

    Any idea?

Thank you very much for helping!

I am not aware of anyone who provides pay and run (maybe other have seen it), but you shouldn't have trouble finding shared hosting providers who could have an umbraco install up and running a about 15-30 minutes max.

2 providers that have been mentioned often on the forums are:

    http://discountasp.net/ ($10-15/ month)

    http://www.softsyshosting.com/

I've used www.ehosting.co.uk for UK hosting, it's not 'pay & run' but is easy enough to install by following http://umbraco.org/documentation/books/installing-v400-on-a-plesk-shared-host

    Thanks for answering!

I know it's silly... but all I have managed till now has been with Apache or embedded servers... and as we need to be up this week, I really don't want to mess things up with IIS which I don't know (although I think it may not be difficult!).

Chris Dunn, those are two of the hosting services I'll have to decide between tomorrow... but when you say "who could have umbraco install up and running" you don't mean that they can do it for you, do you? If that's the case, even if I have to pay a little extra, would be wonderful.

Thanks Chris Koiak for the url... I'll go through it now to see what I can expect. I hope I don't have too many troubles with the real installation.

As I say... it's not that I cannot make it... it's that we're in a little rush and is an environment I'm not used to, so I'm looking for the best way to not mess it up.

Thank you both for your help! Cheers!

    Jacobo,

They won't install umbraco for you but it shouldn't take much effort to get things installed.  You'll just need to signup for the basic service and then add sql server 'add-in'.  You will have to do the install yourself.

Fab-IT offers preloadet Umbraco hotels - and as a bonus 33% of the revenue goes to Umbraco. Pretty nice.
