I have one IP that points to website1.com and website2.com and added the domains to the Site Bindings in IIS. Then added each domain via Manage Hostnames to its respective "site" node in Umbraco.
Hi Alex, I have done a similar thing to what Donald is talking about. You only need to create one website in IIS, and add both website1.com and website2.com bindings to it. Then add the domains via right click "Manage Hostnames" in umbraco.
Multiple websites on a single Umbraco instance
I want to run several websites on a single Umbraco instance. I know Umbraco can handle that.
Then question is regarding IIS and DNS set up. I have set up a website in IIS. What should I do make it handle several domains?
For example, my website is www.website1.com and I want to make this website accessible from www.website2.com
Should I do anything to DNS or IIS?
Alex,
Here is how I have it setup in my environment:
I have one IP that points to website1.com and website2.com and added the domains to the Site Bindings in IIS. Then added each domain via Manage Hostnames to its respective "site" node in Umbraco.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Donald. Did you create one website in IIS or two?
