Can we use the old schema in 4.6?

I have a few issues with some packages using the old schema, I am doing a demo for a client and I just need some of this stuff to work to get them over the line and commint to using Umbraco.

So to get things like the iphone alt page and other packages using the old schem can I use the old schema in my 4.6 install?

    cheers

    Matt

    Hi Matt.

I just tested it by changing the XML Schema in a version Umbraco 4.6.1. And I was able to switch it back to the old schema.

I used this guide. So I am sure it will help you as well.

    Hi Matt,

Did you get it work by switching from the new XML schema to the old schema ?

    Hi,

Does anyone have an working example of this (iPhone Alt Page) working on Umbraco 4.7.x? We just upgraded - it was working before but it looks like its using the old XML schema and needs to be updated.

Any anyone post the XSLT file which has been updated? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jackson,

Maybe you could try running the old XSLT file through Tommy Poulsen's conversion tools. Tommy has made a tool which can convert xslt from Umbraco's old xml schema to the new schema.

Perhaps it could be a start and see if it can solve your problem
