Maybe you could also consider adding rel="nofollow" on the link to the page containing your contact form, since this perhaps is not a page you want to rank on on google...in the sense that the content on your other pages is probably more relevant and competitive than a contact form is.
Been struggling with this for a while now. The nofollow actually follows the link so that's not a solution for me. The nofollow apparently only stops bots from indexing beyond the nofollow.
And disallow: email-a-frind.aspx/ in the robots text didn't help either.
So for now I'm running the site with a form that keeps throwing warnings in my log. :-(
email a friend throws log error
Every time Google bot visits my site it triggers an error 8null exeption) in the email a friend form.
Itried this in my robots.txt: disallow: /email-a-friend.aspx
but it didn't help. should it be typed like this disallow: /email-a-friend.aspx?*/email-a-friend.aspx since the bot follows the links on all my pages?
Hi Claus
I think you should have a look in the description in here: http://www.robotstxt.org/robotstxt.html
