You don't necessarily need to know XSLT to learn Umbraco, there are other options, like Razor or .NET user-controls (there are also Python and Ruby modules too)

about umbraco?
Hi Peter, welcome to Umbraco!
You don't necessarily need to know XSLT to learn Umbraco, there are other options, like Razor or .NET user-controls (there are also Python and Ruby modules too)
The Umbraco.tv website has some video tutorials on how to get started with Umbraco: http://umbraco.com/help-and-support/video-tutorials.aspx
If you wanted a book (to read offline), then you could take a look at the Umbraco User's Guide: http://j.mp/Mibhla
Good luck - and any questions do ask.
Cheers, Lee.
