We are using staging.domain.com for showing the customer what we have and to make the latest adjustments on the websites. We want to secure the whole subdomain site. Is their a module or plugin that does this; securing the whole site?
Would IIS directory protection be suitable for this? That's how I tend to handle client demos which you want to be 'live' but only visible to clients. There are loads of resources for doing this, e.g. http://www.hosting.com/support/dedicated/iis/passwordprotect/ but it's an IIS thing rather than an umbraco specific thing.
If, for some reason you wanted to do this specifically with Umbraco you could set folder protection on the main home page node. There's a good Umbraco TV episode on directory protection.

Thanks in advanced.

Personally I'd go IIS.
Hope this helps...
