    Livewriter gets wrong paths

    I was wondering if anyone here has noticed that livewriter gets some paths wrong when you use it.

    1) Once you are connected and click "view blog" in the "blogs" menu, it opens a browser window with the url
    http://umbraco.recytyre.be/umbraco.recytyre.be
    instead of just
    http://umbraco.recytyre.be
    /
    Strangely enough the link for "Manage blog" under the 'blogs" menu does contain a working link.

    2) when I edit the blog settings in livewriter, I notice that in the Account section, in the configuration panel, the homepage url also contains a repeating piece of text that shouldn't be there:

    http://umbraco.recytyre.be/umbraco.recytyre.be/nl/over-recytyre/blog.aspx
    instead of
    http://umbraco.recytyre.be/nl/over-recytyre/blog.aspx

    Does anyone know what can be done about this (possibly manually editing rsd.aspx)? Entering the information again doesn't fix anything, i'm using the latest version of livewriter.

    Kind regards,

    Rik

    Can't you just update the account settings ?

    I've tried multiple times, it seems to disregard my input and receive data from umbraco with a wrong path...

    On of the interesting things i've noticed is that the rsd.aspx file is returing this:

    <rsd version="1.0">
    <service>
    <engineName>umbraco</engineName>
    <engineLink>http://umbraco.org/</engineLink>;
    <homePageLink>umbraco.recytyre.be</homePageLink>
    <apis>
    <api name="MetaWeblog" blogID="1" preferred="true" apiLink="http://new.recytyre.be/umbraco/channels.aspx"/>
    <api name="Blogger" blogID="1" preferred="false" apiLink="http://new.recytyre.be/umbraco/channels.aspx"/>
    </apis>
    </service>
    </rsd>

    shouldn't homepagelink include http:// ??

    I had this problem with one of my sites when I configured Livewriter manually.

    After much frustration I recreated the site connection and let Livewriter autodetect the settings, which fixed the url issue.

    Cheers

    Evan: does this mean you added the 2 lines to all your page templates or ?

    Hi Rik

    Yes I added the 2 lines for MetaBlogApi / Content Channels to my Maser template so it would flow on to the other pages of the site.

    Can anyone confirm that they are able to view, load, save & publish existing blogposts ?
