    How to make user control as Datatype?

    Hello all,

                I am new to Umbraco.I want to know how to make my user control as datatype.I am stuck there.So i need help to solve that.If possible any one please send sample project explaining step by step. or please send any documentation.

    You can create a new datatype and select the Umbraco UserControl Wrapper as the rendertype. Then you can select your usercontrol and it should work :).

    The easiest way is to use the umbraco usercontrol wrapper:

    Put the usercontrol in the usercontrols folder, got to the developer section, rightclick on datatypes, new datatype, give it a name you like, choose ok, choose umbraco usercontrol wrapper as rendercontrol, save, choose you usercontrol as usercontrol and save again.

    This way the usercontrol cannot be used for canvas...
