Are you a recent graduate passionate about web technologies and development?
To take Smarta to the next level we are looking for a talented and ambitious .Net Developer. You will be a recent or new graduate with at least a 2:1 or first class in a science based degree such as mathematics, physics or computer science and have at least 1 year of work experience in this field. You will need to have excellent analytical skills and be able to step back from a problem and see the bigger picture.
Hard Skills
Essential skills are ASP.NET 2.0, VB.NET or C#, SQL, XML, OO design patterns, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. An understanding of design and testing methodologies will be helpful.
In a perfect world you’ll have at least 1 year of web development experience. You understand the web, the limitations and the possibilities. A passion for web standards, accessibility and usability is a must. Experience with Visual Studio will be a bonus.
Fluffly stuff
We need someone who loves all things tech and Web 2.0 and will be as excited and determined as we are to make Smarta HUGE. Commercial nous and entrepreneurial flair are distinct advantages. We move fast and need solution hunters not problem spotters.
Finally we whistle while we work! Well not quite but we do like to have fun as we go.
Super bright recent graduates who can demonstrate talent and equivalent expertise will also be considered.
How to apply
Please email [email protected] explaining who you are and why you think you would be good for this role and for Smarta. CV and cover letter always appreciated or if you have a more innovative mode of application happy to see that too.
Would you be so kind to specify contact info so people can get in touch?
We don't mind you posting new job ads (on the contrary), but we do want to know upfront who interested people will be dealing with.
