    Agency in Wimbledon - Permanent Role

    Hi guys,

    I am a long time freelance Umbraco developer. I finish up at my old place next week, but I am posting on behalf of my client who is looking for a developer to join their team in replacement of me leaving. They basically want a developer with a blend of .NET and PHP, with Umbraco, or .NET experience with willingness to learn PHP.

    Here is the spec:

    We are looking for a developer with Umbraco experience who can also work across opensource technology

    This is an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to join a hugely successful agency within a rapidly growing digital department.

     

    The ideal candidate will spend a 1/3 of their time working with Umbraco and 2/3 of their time across other projects involving a combination of  PHP and Front end development. 

     

    Our clients include Heinz, Gillette and Disney, so we can offer exciting high-profile work to bring out the best in you.

     

    Core skills

     

    -       .Net / Umbraco development

    -       Knowledge of PHP

    -       Knowledge of Open Source CMS (DRUPAL an advantage)

    -       HTML  / CSS

    -       jQuery – Nice to have

    -       Experience of using MVC frameworks e.g. Codeigniter

    -       3rd Party API experience (Facebook, You Tube, Twitter etc) 

     

    A successful candidate would be directed by and work alongside our Senior Front End Developers and our Head of Tech.

    * Ability to work on more than one project at a time/multitasking

    * Must be able to work as part of a team

    * Attention to detail

    * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written

    * Knowledge of usability and accessibility issues and standards

    * Knowledge of online publishing processes and techniques

    * Ability to identify and interpret graphic design needs

    * Troubleshooting

    * Testing
