    Back End Developer - 12 month FTC - London

    We're looking for a Back End Developer to join our tech team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The development team at RY is an expanding group of multi-skilled professionals. Their interest lies in all things technology, from systems design, implementation, open source community membership and interactive web applications.Their goal is to supply our consultancy team with stable appropriate technologies to push our clients through the digital age. Working closely with the design and UX departments, they're at the heart of RY's digital offer.

    The role (In a nutshell):

    Ensure our thinking and designs are translated into digital solutions and products that work seamlessly, look great and are accessible. Advise and guide colleagues on development opportunities, limitations, risks and best practice. Ensure an accurate translation of project requirements into functional and technical specifications and accurately deliver against these. Bring ideas and views on current and emerging trends and implement where appropriate. Understand where we could go from a technology standpoint versus where we should go. Deliver clean code, using ASP.NET, C# and Umbraco.

    Your background:

    Strong agency experience. Professional level knowledge of Microsoft C# ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server. Solid experience of Umbraco V6/7 with XSLT – Including multilingual. Good knowledge of core front-end web technologies including HTML, Javascript/jQuery, CSS. Experience with source control systems. It'd be a bonus if you also had the following, but not essential:

    Server administration – IIS/SQL Server Management/TSQL Sitecore knowledge Agile development methodologies Umbraco certified
