    Umbraco support/end of life

I have spent some time looking and umbraco might not have this information.

Does each version of umbraco have a supported time line? Much like ubuntu does?.

E.G. How long will patches be applied for?

    Thanks Shannon

    Hi Shannon

If you become a gold partner or buy a confidence license (pr. installation) then you're then there is a timeline set in the terms and it also covers, from which version support is covered. I think that currently it starts from 4.10 but i'm not sure - if in doubt try contacting Umbraco HQ. You can read more about the confidence license here http://umbraco.com/products.aspx

If you don't buy a license then there is no guranteed support but people in here are really good to help each other out so don't be afraid to ask about anything. Since i'ts open source possible edgecase bugs can perhaps be fixed internally if a older non-supported version is being used (If you buy a license that is).

Hope this answer helps a bit :)

    /Jan
