Performance of umbraco with a site that potentially has 5000 - 10000 nodes?

    Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with a large umbraco site - the site in question I'm thinking of doing in umbraco will have potentially anywhere between 5000 - 10,000 nodes.  I just want to know if the performance is okay with this amount of nodes before I start intregrating..

    Many thanks

    James

    Hi James,

Umbraco can easily handle this. Have seen sites having ten times as much nodes performing well. The only thing you need to worry about is performance in the backoffice. If you have a large amount of data underneath one node performance can slow down in the backoffice so make sure you structure the content well in the back office.

    Cheers,

    Richard

Late to the party on this one - but we've launched at least one site with a good 20,000+ node instances and they work nice and speedily - mostly due to the caching!
