Are the install and live site statistics for Umbraco published?

I've seen some references to number of installs, etc, in blog posts, but are the statistics published anywhere, by Umbraco? The closest that I can find is this (which is not published by Umbraco)
    http://trends.builtwith.com/cms/Umbraco
Is around 28,000 installs about right?

    Hi Tom

That number is not even close - I think it should be at 8-10 times bigger than that at least - Niels usually tweets about it so I think he will promptly answer if you tweet the question using the #twitter hash-tag.

If I manage to find some more concrete data I'll post in here :)

Thanks Jan. No that number seems very low. I think because BuiltWith cannot determine if a site is build with Umbraco very easily (which is a good thing!). I can't even guess that our website is Umbraco. I'll ask Niels. Thank you.

    Hi Tom,

CanĀ“t remember where I saw it but I think the number was 276.000+ Umbraco installations. I think it was on Twitter.

Argh, I tried installs.umbraco.org - No wonder it did not work :D - So much for bad memory. But yeah he loves when he gets to tell about the numbers :)
