I've seen some references to number of installs, etc, in blog posts, but are the statistics published anywhere, by Umbraco? The closest that I can find is this (which is not published by Umbraco) http://trends.builtwith.com/cms/Umbraco Is around 28,000 installs about right?
That number is not even close - I think it should be at 8-10 times bigger than that at least - Niels usually tweets about it so I think he will promptly answer if you tweet the question using the #twitter hash-tag.
If I manage to find some more concrete data I'll post in here :)
Thanks Jan. No that number seems very low. I think because BuiltWith cannot determine if a site is build with Umbraco very easily (which is a good thing!). I can't even guess that our website is Umbraco. I'll ask Niels. Thank you.

Can´t remember where I saw it but I think the number was 276.000+ Umbraco installations. I think it was on Twitter.
